PAL'S COTTON CANDY
Candy has found herself in foster
care for her birthday. She turned 8 years old on April
9th. She had been having a hard time as her adoptive family lost
jobs, and became another victim of the economical crisis.
Candy has received medical care and
is on the road to becoming a happy healthy girl. It is not an
instant fix so she will stay on hold until all concerns have been
fixed.
Candy had rotten teeth so she lost 19
when she had her initial dental. As you can see she is enjoying company in
her play yard that kept her safe from being knocked into or being hit by
a wagging tail while her mouth heals.
Candy had another follow-up at the
vet and he was very happy with her progress. She has gained 7
pounds, her mouth is healing and the vet tells us she is ready for a
special loving family.
Candy is sweet, adjusting to lots of attention,
healthy meals, running in the back yard and sleeping through the night.
She has perfect house manners.

April 17, 2012. She is a kisser and a hugger. Sheba
wags her short tail any time strangers come into the house, when a
person talks to her and actually even if she just thinks you are going
to say something to her.
She has already proven she is a good
eater and so far has not had an accident in the house.
Sheba has been diagnosed with a rare
form of cancer. We are researching any possibility to give her a
longer quality of life.
Sheba lost her battle with cancer on
June 7, 2012. She was loved by all that met her and especially her

Tina is a little 54 pound white girl
that will be 6 years old in August. She was in a home for nearly 4
years but due to moving in with relatives she had to be returned.
Tina lived with other dogs but
doesn't do well with cats. She was also with 2 small children.
On her arrival she is happy, friendly, kissy, and playful. She
will have a vet checkup with necessary test and be scheduled for a
dental.
Tina has tested Heartworm Positive
and will undergo the 3 series treatment. She will only be allowed
to walk out on a leash to potty, and have very restricted activity while
being treated for heartworms.
Tina has now tested heartworm
negative. She is slowly resuming her life as a pet, companion and
playmate.
Tina has adjusting very well
to her restrictions in foster care and was a real trooper. Thanks
to everyone that donated toward her treatment and to Len & Lois for the
care they have given her.
She eats great, loves the doggie beds and as
you can see would like to be a lap doggie.

Dash is a sweet loving boy of 6 years
old and 63 pounds. Dash lost his home due to a foreclosure and
after 3 years his family just disappeared leaving him to be picked up by
Animal Control as a stray. He was in very poor condition.
We have completed his initial medical
treatment but he will need surgery on a tumor which the vet feels is not
cancer but Dash must gain about 10 pounds and be healthier before he can
have surgery.
We plan to make Dash's future bright,
healthy and happy. He is a sweet forgiving boy that is enjoying
toys, doggie beds and snuggles. He deserves to have his own loving
home.
After less than 24 hours in his
foster home he was cockroaching. His foster mom says he is the
sweetest, gentlest most loving boy ever. He and the cat just
looked at each other and he went back to sleep.

UCME GONNABEGONE
Gabby is a 2 1/2 year old, 53 pound
sweet female.
We were called that this little girl
was being kept in a barn then moved to being tied out on a porch.
We were told she was "purchased" someplace in Florida but the stepsister
did not have any information and no paperwork. She was given to
the stepfather who has a fall risk at 81 years old although I would
think falling over a Chi would be more likely than a tall dog but who am
I to question.
Thanks to one of our volunteers who
drove 6 hours to make sure this little girl was safe. She was with
small children during the trip and in the yardalong with small dogs and
is now being fostered with cats. We will have Gabby checked
out at the vet, given all her shots, a fecal & heartworm test.
We will learn more about her as she
settles into foster care.

female. She is sweet, calm, adjusts quickly to routine.
Sky went through the cell program.
